Moonie Sports Club - 60th Anniversary Celebration

In March 2024, the Moonie community came together to celebrate the Sports Club's 60th Anniversary.

The event bought together current and past Moonie Sports Club members and their families for a nostalgic, enjoyable day.

The occasion was celebrated with the official opening of the "Tim Brown and Family" Pavillion and the burial of a time capsule. 

Attendees were treated to lunch, drinks and a slideshow of all the incredible events the Sports Club has held over 60 years, with funding from the Community Events Program going towards the kids entertainment and decorations on the day. 

We would like to acknowledge the incredible milestone achievement for the Moonie Sports Club, and the passion and dedication of the volunteers who make it all possible.

The Community Events Program is support for social, cultural and sporting events that celebrate our diversity, connect our communities and activate our parks, open spaces and community facilities.
