Dalby visitor information centre moves to Pioneer Park Museum

From Tuesday 27 January 2026, visitors to the Dalby Visitor Information Centre can experience the proud, rich history of our region from its temporary new home at Dalby Pioneer Park Museum.

Rangers kick off animal inspection program for Bell, Tara, Wandoan

Encouraging responsible pet ownership and reducing the number of dog attacks on the Western Downs has prompted Council to undertake an approved inspection program from 1 February to 30 June 2026.

Chinchilla Visitor Information Centre temporarily closed

On display until 28 January 2026

Council advises that the Chinchilla Visitor Information Centre (VIC), located on the Warrego Highway, will be temporarily closed to the public to allow painting works to be completed.

During this period, all visitor enquiries will be supported by the Miles Visitor information Centre, which is located at 141 Murilla Street, Miles.

Dalby Visitor Information Centre temporary relocation

On display until 27 January 2026

Council advises that the Dalby Visitor Information Centre (VIC) on Drayton Street will be temporarily relocating to the Dalby Pioneer Park Museum at the corner of Warrego Highway and Black Street.

This temporary relocation is required to support the upcoming construction of Dalby’s new Cultural Centre and Visitor Information Centre within the Thomas Jack Park Precinct.

2026 Approved Inspection Program

On display until 01 July 2026

Council would like to advise Bell, Tara, and Wandoan residents of a notice of approved systematic inspection program as per the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008, commencing on 1 February 2026 to 30 June 2026.
