Juandah's Little Patch of Country - Umbrella and Kitchen Upgrade
In 2024, Juandah's Little Patch of Country were able to complete their goal of upgrading their visitor rest area.
Volunteers had brought to attention the need to upgrade their facility to suit the needs of the Juandah's Little Patch of Country volunteers and visitors to the Wandoan Visitor Information Centre and Wandoan Driver Reviver.
The new umbrella was able to provide additional shaded seating for visitors, thus attracting more visitors to stay and explore the centre.
With the addition of new cupboards and an island bench the group are able to be keep their tea and coffee supplies fresher, maintain an organised kitchen area, and reduce the amount of cleaning for the centre.
We would like to acknowledge the consideration and initiative that drove the Juandah's Little Patch of Country project, and the positive impact it will bring to their visitors and volunteers.
The Community Projects Program supports equipment purchases, capital infrastructure, upgrading of facilities to meet standards, regulations and community expectations, meet changing community needs and/or increase facility usage.
