Flinton Race Club - Flinton Easter Saturday Races 2023

In April of 2023, after battling several years of Covid 19 and flooding events, the Flinton Race Club was able to hold their well-loved annual Flinton Easter Saturday Races.

The local community were large supporters of the annual event, as well as many visitors who travelled from locations outside the region such as Malanda, Charleville, Taroom, Goondiwindi, Tamworth and Brisbane.

The day boasted an array of events, such as a luncheon, Fashions of the Fields, foot races, a lolly drop and a DJ.

The Flinton Race Club is made up solely of volunteers who dedicate their time to the regular maintenance of their grounds, often using their own machinery and tools. These volunteers then organise and coordinate the Race Day, in addition to operating the bar and overseeing the provision of food.

Funding from the Western Downs Regional Council Local Events Program went towards the hire of paramedic services over the course of the weekend.

Western Downs Regional Council would like to congratulate the Flinton Race Club on a successful annual Easter Saturday Race Day.
