The Campervan & Motorhome Club of Australia (CMCA) chose Dalby as their host region for the 36th CMCA National Rally, with 1,350 eager participants travelling from all across the nation to attend.

Funding from the Destination Events Program went towards the costs of operating the Rally and its various events and activities. Key activities provided to Rally attendees included tours of local landmarks, with the intention of promoting recreational vehicle tourism pre- and post-event.

CMCA's programme also featured market stalls, entertainment (Rock n Roll Boys, Murphy's Pigs), local traders, fashion parades, and display vehicles. With such a wide range of events on offer, CMCA also took time to offer local community organisations with opportunities to fundraise for their respective groups.

The Rally saw a significant economic gain for the region with an estimated event impact of $2,835,405.00. The Destination Events Program targets significant events such as the CMCA rally to be held in the Western Downs for the benefit of the local economy and community.

Western Downs Regional Council congratulates CMCA on the success of their annual national event and the hard work and dedication of its volunteers and organisers.
