Breanna Collins - 2022 Shotgun World Championships
In late September 2022, one of our region's young athletes, Breanna Collins, travelled to compete in the 2022 World Shotgun Championships.
Breanna is an incredibly dedicated athlete who regularly travels to Brisbane and the Gold Coast in order to train individually and as part of the National Squad.
Funding from the Individual Excellence Program went towards helping Breanna attend the event held overseas in Osijek, Croatia. Breanna represented the nation in the Junior Women's Shotgun, where she went on to shoot 19/25 to claim the bronze medal for Australia.
We congratulate Breanna on the skill and determination that helped her secure success for herself and her team.
The Individual Excellence Program celebrates and supports individuals (or teams) for their excellence in their chosen field. This program assists individuals residing in the Western Downs Regional Council area who are performing or competing at a national or international level.
