The Dalby Park & Recreation Depot currently located on Bunya Street will be relocated to the Nicholson Street Water Reservoir site, making use of existing Council-owned land and infrastructure.

This relocation will support growing operational needs and service delivery requirements, providing staff with a safe and functional workspace to complete daily workflows.

The change in location presents an opportunity for Council to repurpose the existing site, returning the land to valuable green space for the community. 

Key Features
  • Construction of a new depot building with staff amenities, seating area, office space, and workshop facilities at the Nicholson Street Water Reservoir site.
  • Installation of a dedicated container for safe and compliant chemical storage. 
  • Use of existing Council land and infrastructure to support cost-effective delivery.
  • Repurpose the Bunya Street site, expanding parkland at Thomas Jack Park.  

Project Outcomes

The relocation will deliver a more efficient and fit-for-purpose operational base for Parks & Recreation staff, improving daily workflows, safety and service delivery. In addition, the project supports Council’s long-term strategic planning by enabling the return of a key site to open space, contributing to the continued enhancement of Thomas Jack Park and the broader Dalby recreational precinct.
