WDRC-284-3733.jpg

Built in 1936, this heritage listed building sits approximately 12 kilometres southeast of Chinchilla, along the Warrego Highway. It was named after the Cactoblastis Cactorum Moth, which was introduced as a way to control the noxious weed known as the Prickly Pear in the 1920s

Recessed from the roadside, the Boonarga Cactoblastis Hall consists of a central dance room, with timber floor and unlined roof, with adjoining aisles on either side of the room. A renewed stage, kitchen and amenities are all available inside the hall.

Suitable for weddings, birthday parties, community events and more. Bookings for this hall are managed by the Boonarga Cactoblastis Memorial Hall Committee.
