Feral Pig and Bunya Die Back Workshops

In collaboration with a number of pest management industry specialists, Council is hosting informative community workshops, to present findings from Council's Queensland Feral Pest Initiative Grant, with a focus on feral pigs and phytophthora management in the Bunya Mountains and Bell area.

The workshops are free to attend, however registration is required by Friday 20 June 2025. Catering will be provided. 

What to expect 

The workshops will include presentations from the following industry specialists:

Darren Marshall, Lead Researcher - Feral Animals Project - Centre for Invasive Species Solutions (CISS)

John Scriven, Coordinator - Feral Pigs Program - Southwest Queensland Regional Organisation of Councils (SWQROC)

Natural Resource Management and Rural Services Team - Western Downs Regional Council (WDRC), and more.
