Council is revitalising the Chinchilla Weir as part of its COVID-19 Recovery Package to stimulate the economy and boost the region's great liveability. Chinchilla Weir is a longstanding recreational spot which is popular among local residents and travellers alike.

Council's revamp will focus on improving the overall amenity of the area by upgrading facilities and enhancing the area's natural landscape. These works will further enhance the much-loved area and encourage more people to head outdoors and enjoy all the region has to offer, while also offering opportunities for people to visit our local towns, stimulate the economy, and experience all the great things the Western Downs has to offer.

Project Status:  Underway - Construction Phase

Please note - Due to construction works being undertaken at this site, access will be restricted until end June 2021
