The public amenities in Thomas Jack Park will be closed between 10.30am and 2pm on Wednesday 12 November 2025 due to the removal of a large gum tree that has been struck by lightning.
Located directly adjacent the amenities block, the gum tree has been assessed by an arborist and deemed to pose a serious safety risk to park users.
An exclusion zone has been set up around the potential danger area and Council staff will be onsite during the removal to ensure public safety.
