Council has been made aware of customers receiving scam phone calls alleging to be from Council in regards to overdue rates.
If you receive a suspicious phone call and you are unsure of its legitimacy, do not provide any personal information. Instead, hang up and phone 1300 COUNCIL (268 624) so we can confirm whether the phone call was legitimate.
Residents are reminded to always remain vigilant of potential scam activity. Remember, if it doesn't seem right, it probably isn't.
