Pursuant to s. 133 Local Government Regulation 2012(PDF, 74KB) - Interest has been calculated on overdue rates and charges from the day rates and charges became overdue at the following rates:

(i) was calculated on a compounded basis per day;

(ii) was calculated at the following rates of interest (per annum) for the following periods:

(i) from 1 July 2020 at 8.53%

(ii) from 1 July 2021 at 8.03%

(iii) from 1 July 2022 at 8.17%

(iv) from 1 July 2023 at 11.64%

(v) from 1 July 2024 at 12.35%

(vi) from 1 July 2025 at 12.12%

From 1 July 2026, interest on overdue rates and charges will continue to accrue on overdue rates and charges at the interest rate calculated as the sum of the Reserve Bank of Australia's published March bank yield rate plus 8%.
