Chinchilla residents are advised that planning is underway to deactivate the Evacuation Centre at the Chinchilla Showgrounds from midday tomorrow (Friday 13 March 2026).
The Chinchilla Evacuation Centre will remain available for impacted or displaced residents if needed overnight. The centre will not be staffed unless needed.
For Evacuation Centre access, residents should call 1300 COUNCIL for support. There is appropriate signage in place for residents who might arrive at the Showgrounds.
