Western Downs teens are being invited to take a leap of faith and join in on exciting acrobatic workshops being offered in the upcoming school holidays.

Western Downs Regional Council has partnered with Circa Contemporary Circus to run an exclusive 5-day workshop “Danger Club” which will take place at the Chinchilla Cultural Centre from 28 June to 2 July.

Council Spokesperson for Community and Cultural Development Councillor Kaye Maguire said the event was a fantastic way to get the region’s youth engaged in an exciting event that is not normally offered to regional towns.

“Danger Club” will inspire and challenge local teens in unexpected, exciting, and amusing ways that explore the very idea of danger through workshops led by Circa Contemporary Circus’ world-leading acrobats,” Cr Maguire said.

“This event is about uniting our young people and boosting our active, vibrant communities by offering a fantastic new activity for teens to get involved in something they may not have tried before.

“Teens between the ages of 13 and17 are invited to be a part of the workshops which offer an opportunity to learn acrobatic tricks, explore the art of danger, and present their own show at the end.

“We are delighted to be hosting this thrilling new event for the region’s youth which will challenge their skills and offer an opportunity to have fun and mingle with other locals.”

Tickets to the workshops are $125 and can be purchased at https://dangerclub.eventbrite.com.au
