Now in its third year, Council's series of free outdoor movie nights are returning to Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles and Tara, with star-studded musical comedy Sing 2 promising family-friendly fun.

Sing 2 follows on from the adventures of can-do koala Buster Moon and his rag-tag gang of animal performers as they attempt to stage the concert of a lifetime — despite their headline act not being such a willing participant.

Spokesperson for Community and Cultural Development Councillor Kaye Maguire said outdoor movie nights have proven popular in the past, and this year's events look to be no different.

"The drive-in movies are a great way to unite our active vibrant communities through free social activities" she said.

“Who doesn’t love curling up with a blanket and some popcorn for a night under the stars? Council is thrilled to bring this experience back to our communities.

"We've chosen a great movie that will appeal to all ages and the nostalgia factor will be a hit with the adults as they come together for a night of fun at the movies.

"I guarantee you'll leave the night with more than a few songs stuck in your head!"

Our upcoming drive-in movies not only provide a great outing for the families in our region, but also supports buying local by including community groups as vendors for yummy food and beverages that can be purchased on the night.

Bookings are not required to attend the events.
