Condamine Weir Project
Council is delivering upgrades to the Condamine Weir and Fish Ladder, enhancing local water storage capacity, improving long term water security, and supporting continued economic growth efforts.
Weir Upgrades
The upgrades to the Condamine Weir are set to increase impoundment capacity upstream. This will see an increase in height by 0.5 m and width by approximately 20 m.
Crawford Bridge
The upgrades will see works undertaken to improve scour protection to the Transport of Main Roads (TMR) Crawford Bridge.
Fish Ladder
The proposed fishway at Condamine Town Weir is designed to restore ecological connectivity along the Condamine River by facilitating both upstream and downstream passage for a wide range of native fish species.
