As part of its COVID-19 Recovery Package to secure and create jobs and boost the region's great liveability, Council has delivered an exciting upgrade to the Miles Visitor information Centre and Miles Historical Village Museum entrance, making it a more vibrant and accessible facility for the region.

The Miles Visitor Information Centre and Miles Historical Village Museum is a key tourist hub in the region. This upgrade has transformed the front entrance and landscaping into a vibrant landmark facility which can be easily identified by travellers, while also enhancing the Miles town centre for residents and visitors alike.

  • Large climbable 'Miles' sign
  • Entry tower and arbour
  • Interpretive signage to tell a variety of stories along the arbour walkway
  • Coloured concrete entry under the arbour with bench seating and water fountain
  • Fresh landscaping
  • Improvements to building interior

February 2021 - Landscaping and building contracts awarded
