Councillor Kaye Maguire enters local government with a strong business background as the managing director of the family’s transport business since 1988, and a 15 year career in the banking industry.
Cr Maguire’s commitment to local business and industry is reflected in her previous role on the Board of the former Surat Basin Corporation.
Her passion for being involved in the community is reflected in her work with many local committees, leading teams to coordinate local events and projects. Some highlights include the Leichhardt Hostel, Visitor Information Centre, Melon Festival Luncheon, Arts in the Park and One Long Table Chinchilla.
Proudly born and bred in Chinchilla, Cr Maguire enjoys spending time with her family, encouraging junior sport, travelling to interesting places and cultures, and meeting people.
