If you like to wake up to views of the water, pitch your tent at Lake Broadwater Conservation Park. You’ll find it 30km outside of Dalby, nestled on the banks of Lake Broadwater - the only naturally occurring freshwater lake on the Darling Downs.
Facilities include toilets, cold showers, powered and unpowered sites, a kids playground and picnic facilities.
Fires are allowed in the designated fireplaces (except when fire bans or prohibitions apply), but campers will need to supply their own firewood.
Embrace the noisy neighbours – there’s more than 230 species of birds recorded at the park, including flocks of Sulphur-crested Cockatoos and Rainbow Bee-eaters.
Access:
Travel 20km South West of Dalby on Moonie Highway, turn into Broadwater Road.
The campground is 10km on left hand side.
