Sculpture unveiling at Lake Broadwater Recreation Reserve

Western Downs residents are invited to gather lakeside for a special unveiling of a brand-new public artwork by renowned artist Fred Beel at Lake Broadwater on Saturday 21 June at 10am.

The artwork forms part of Council’s 10-year capital expenditure program to develop a 600km self-drive sculpture trail across the Western Downs, designed to boost tourism and showcase the region’s rich artistic and cultural identity.

Meet artist Fred Beel and enjoy free face painting and a sausage sizzle.
