Today, Deputy Mayor George Moore and Councillors were joined by the Chinchilla community to officially open the newly replaced Burnt Bridge on Burnt Bridge Road, Chinchilla. Councillors received a pleasant surprise when local Greg Lithgow and his horse joined them for the walk across the new bridge. The two lane box culvert bridge replaces the old single lane timber bridge, and delivers the community a safer asset that will last well into the future. ~ Engineering Team

Residents in the Tara district are advised that Telstra customers may be experiencing some difficulties using their home and mobile phone services, such as making or receiving calls or using some data services due to damage sustained to Telstra's fibre optic cable near Kogan. An excavator will be on site soon to assess the damage, and Telstra is working towards getting lines up and running again as soon as possible. Council's Tara Customer Service Centre is still able to receive customer service enquiries via 1300 COUNCIL. ~ WDRC Comms Team
