With the re-opening of the iconic 'Jacko Cavanagh Bridge' this weekend, it's only fitting that we share the story of the man behind the legend. This story (along with a few typo corrections — oops!) will be featured as a brand new plaque, taking pride of place right next to the revamped bridge. ~ WDRC Comms Team

Did you know that Council undertakes the largest bitumen reseal program in Queensland? Here's a look at the behind-the-scenes magic of the recent reseal of Grosmont Road, north-west of Wandoan. The numbers are pretty amazing, too — this road was part of a $4.1 million regional reseal program, totaling 2.21 million litres of bitumen and 10,000 tonnes of aggregate. That's a lot of road! 🚗 🚛 🚜 #WDRCBudget

School may almost be out, but brand new footpaths are almost in! Footpaths works will commence next week in Zeller Street, Chinchilla and Jandowae School Link as a part of our Works for Queensland Funding. To be completed over the school holidays, the works will have little disruption to the community. Shiny new footpaths for Term 3 — there's no better way to be back at school! ~ Engineering Team
