Rural Services

Rural Services is responsible for the delivery of effective Rural Services and Natural Resource Management programs across the region.  This includes a diverse range of programs and activities focusing on the management of Pest animals and weeds, vegetation, fauna, cultural heritage, riparian zones and reserves, Stock Routes, Washdown Facilities and Wandering stock.

The Rural Services Coordinated Pest Control and Monitoring Programs have achieved the LGMA Queensland Award for Excellence in Community Shaping and the National Federation Award for Community Service Delivery.

The Rural Services Team have officers located all around our region, including the Natural Resource Management team and a Wild Dog Trapper.
