Water notices will be landing in mailboxes this week

Western Downs Regional Council water customers will start to receive their half-yearly water consumption notices for the January to June period in the mail this week, with payments due on or before Wednesday 19 August 2015.

Spokesperson for Corporate Support Ian Rasmussen said customers who don’t receive their notices within the next couple of weeks need to contact Council.

“If, in the next couple of weeks you still haven’t received your water notice, please contact Council immediately to ensure your details are correct and to arrange for a replacement notice to be sent to your nominated address,” he said.

“Ratepayers who would prefer to receive their notices electronically can now also opt-in to get their water and rates notices sent to them by email.

“To access this service, property owners simply need to complete and return the ‘Request to Receive Rate/Water Notice/s Electronically’ form available from any Council Customer Service Centre and our website.”

Cr Rasmussen also encourages customers to take advantage of the 10 per cent discount on offer by settling their accounts in full on, or before, the due date of Wednesday 19 August 2015.

“Council offers a number of easy and convenient payment methods to help with payment, including electronic payments. Please be mindful that water notices are separate to rates notices so they have different biller codes. If you’re paying electronically be sure to refer to the front of your water consumption notice to use the correct details,” he said.

“If however customers feel they might have difficulty paying on time, they can simply contact our Customer Contact Centre for help in arranging an instalment plan.”
