Pay water notices early and save

11 February 2015

With the arrival of water consumption notices in residents mailboxes this week, Council is encouraging users to take advantage of the 10 per cent discount on offer by paying their bills early.

Western Downs Regional Council Spokesperson for Corporate Support Councillor Ian Rasmussen said customers can receive the discount by paying on or before Wednesday 11 March.

“The half-yearly water consumption notices for the July to December 2014 period have now been issued, and I strongly encourage customers to secure their 10 per cent discount by paying their bills early through using our convenient payment methods,” he said.

“A full list of available payment options is printed on the back of your water notice with options including: paying in-person at any Customer Service Centre, by Australia Post, over the phone, or via BPAY.”

Cr Rasmussen said Council is also reminding residents of the importance of understanding how to read their individual water consumption.

“If residents have any queries about their water notices, we encourage residents to have a go at reading their water meters and comparing their reading with what’s on their notices before contacting Council,” he said.

“A guide on how to read your water meter is available on Council’s website. If after taking these steps, you have any further queries, please contact Council.”
