Mayor Ray Brown will be joined by Dalby resident Carol Hoadley and her daughter Jo Fletcher to officially unveil the Myall Remembrance Park Services Memorial on Monday.

The community is invited to attend the official unveiling of the Myall Remembrance Park Services Memorial.

  • Where and when: Myall Remembrance Park, Dalby at 3pm, Monday 16 November;
  • The Myall Remembrance Park Services Memorial, or remembrance wall, recognises the Australian military service of members of the community regardless of whether they served in active duty or not;
  • Applications for a memorial plaque acknowledging the service of a loved one will be available at the official unveiling or can be downloaded from Council’s Cemeteries webpage.

Spokesperson for Community Facilities, Sport and Recreation Councillor Charlene Hall said the memorial will be a wonderful asset to the community by providing a peaceful reflection area to honour and remember those who have served our country whether at home or on overseas operations.

“The Myall Remembrance Park Services Memorial came to fruition thanks to the hard work and commitment of our community and Council staff working together to deliver a memorial that pays tribute to the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of those who have selflessly served our country,” she said.

“The memorial is a wonderful addition to the cemetery and a fitting tribute to those selfless individuals who were prepared to defend our country.”
