It's long been a much-loved place to visit for a picnic or camping, and is home to impressive birdlife and flora. When water levels permit, it is the perfect spot for water recreation and swimming, and its peaceful, shady setting, walking tracks and picnic areas make it the perfect spot to get back to nature. As part of Council's COVID-19 Recovery Package, Council is revamping Lake Broadwater to make it even more enjoyable for residents and visitors. The upgrades will focus on improving the amenities and enhancing the natural environment to encourage more people to head outdoors and explore the region.
