Christmas Where the Gumtrees Grow

 

Now into its third year, Christmas Where the Gumtrees Grow is a community initiative that encourages Western Down’s rural residents to make the region shine with tinsel and decorations. Council is proud to announce the return of the Christmas Where the Gumtrees Grow Christmas competition. This festive season, Council encourages Western Downs rural residents to brighten their district and ‘Jingle all the Highways’ by decorating their rural mailboxes, property entrance or even farm machinery to celebrate Christmas where the gumtrees grow! 🎄

Residents of rural properties have the chance to win great local prizes by sending in a photo or video of their creation!

Competition Prizes:

First Prize: $500 Bunya Mountains Accommodation Voucher
Second Prize: $300 Local Supermarket Voucher
Third Prize: $200 Local Butcher Voucher
Lucky Draw: Christmas ham

Enter the Competition: – Competition Closes 5pm Monday 13 December.

To enter the competition, simply submit a photo or video of your entry by email to: events@wdrc.qld.gov.au
Include your name, contact number (for communication if you win) and address, along with a short explanation/story of your entry.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Competition open to Western Downs residents on ‘rural’ properties only.
  2. One entry per person.
  3. Entry must be received by 5pm Monday 13 December.
  4. Entries will be judged on creativity and Christmas cheer as shown by the images supplied. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  5. Winners will be notified by Close of Business Friday 17 December by email or phone.
