Participants enjoyed a high tea in the setting at the beautiful Laurels of Chinchilla and all materials were included. Regional Art Services Networking Event - 21 June 2019 To continue the Regional Arts Services Network in South-West Queensland, a series of networking events and functions were held in the Western Downs region for all artists and arts workers to connect and discuss their practices. Local musicians entertained participants at MyAll 107 , with a program of guest speakers and presentations as well. It was a great networking opportunity for participants to connect with other creatives from the region. Conservation Workshops - 22 to 23 June 2019 With Melanie Fihelly Presented at Pioneer Park Museum and Miles Historical Village Museum AICCM accredited conservation and restoration specialist Melanie Fihelly workshopped: Preventative conservation practices and routines Housekeeping practices for historic sites and collection storage areas Cleaning collection objects Making housing and storage supports Visual Thinking Strategies for Arts Appreciation - 22 June 2019 With Rob Natoli Join experienced artist and arts educator Rob Natoli as he guides participants to view and think about art works in new and personal ways to derive meaning and enjoyment from engaging with art. Polyplate Lithography - 23 June 2019 With Dr Jenny Sanzaro-Nishimura Participants learned a print making technique from master printer Dr Jenny Sanzaro-Nishimura. No experience was necessary and all materials were supplied.
