7 September 2015

Get in quick to secure your free tickets for an unforgettable night of non-stop laughter and entertainment when well-known Australian comedian Tom Gleeson brings stand-up comedy to the bush this October to lift the spirits of our drought-affected communities.

Western Downs Regional Council Spokesperson for Community and Cultural Development and Health Services Councillor Carolyn Tillman said the Not Just For Laughs Comedy nights have already sparked significant interest across the region.

“We are extremely excited that Tom Gleeson will be coming to the Western Downs to help support our families, farmers and landholders facing the hardship of drought,” she said.

“Event-goers can expect to experience a night filled with fun entertainment and laughter when Tom brings his quick-witted and charismatic comedy style to the floor. Joining him will be rising Australian comedian Damien Power, with local musical acts lined up to provide entertainment at the free events.

“Since announcing that Tom will be touring the region, Council has received significant interest and support from the whole community. Therefore we are anticipating that the events will be very popular, so I strongly encourage residents to get in quick and secure their tickets before it’s too late.

“Support our drought affected communities by coming along to a Not Just For Laughs Comedy night, and enjoy an unforgettable night of comedy gold from one of Australia’s best known comedians.”
