Exclusive ‘David Lynch: Master Class’ to be live streamed to Dogwood Crossing

18 February 2015

As part of his first visit to Australia, renowned artist and filmmaker David Lynch will be giving an exclusive master class that will be live streamed from the Queensland Art Gallery │Gallery of Modern Art’s (QAGOMA) Australian Cinémathèque, to the Murilla Room at Dogwood Crossing, Miles at 11am on Saturday 14 March.

Western Downs Regional Council Spokesperson for Community and Cultural Development and Health Services Councillor Carolyn Tillman said that this is a wonderful opportunity for the region’s artists, filmmakers and students to hear and learn from an influential figure in the arts industry.

“Council is thrilled and honoured that our gallery, Dogwood Crossing, Miles, has been chosen by the Queensland Art Gallery to participate in the special event, David Lynch: Master Class,” she said.

“Audiences will be treated to a conversation between David and Australian Cinémathèque Senior Curator José Da Silva, where David will discuss his approaches to painting, photography and printmaking, as well as offering practical advice about developing your creativity.

“I strongly encourage local artists and filmmakers, as well as students, to take advantage of this great opportunity and book their place to come along to experience this live stream event.”

The live streaming of David Lynch: Master Class is free to attend, but bookings are essential. Call Dogwood Crossing on 07 4679 4430 or email dogwood.crossing@wdrc.qld.gov.au.
