Western Downs Regional Council is committed to keeping our community and the media informed of the latest news and events that affect our region.

In addition to media releases on current issues and announcements, Council keeps information flowing through its Western Downs Wire Monthly Update. Each half-year Council distributes an eight page newsletter to all residents across the Western Downs region.

To ensure the communities of the Western Downs are well informed on major issues, policies, plans and projects, and have the opportunity to influence the decision making process, Council is committed to engaging in meaningful community consultation.
