  • Individual professional artists; emerging artists; arts workers; cultural workers; incorporated arts and cultural organisations; and unincorporated organisations (auspiced by an incorporated body) can apply for RADF;
  • In a move to streamline the grants application process, RADF applicants will need to submit their funding proposal through Council’s new online grants platform, Smarty Grants;
  • Applications for Round 1 close at 5pm on Tuesday 7 February.

Council Spokesperson for Community and Cultural Development Councillor Kaye Maguire said Council is an avid supporter of developing the arts, cultural, and heritage scene within our local communities.

“Our region has a wonderfully diverse arts and cultural scene, with many artists and groups doing great things in their local communities,” she said.

“In the past, RADF has given a financial helping hand to: arts, song writing, stitching and photography workshops; professional development; facilitated visiting artists; and assisted groups in contributing to significant community projects.

“Arts, culture and heritage add to the richness of the Western Downs, and we want to continue to see these key areas grow and strengthen across the region.

“So, if you have an arts and cultural activity or project, I strongly encourage you to apply for funding under RADF through Council’s dedicated online grants platform before applications close on Tuesday 7 February.”
