Potable Water Standpipes

Water is available for domestic use only through a number of standpipes across the region.

Potable water (drinking quality) can be purchased from standpipes at Chinchilla, Miles, Tara, Dalby, Wandoan and Jandowae.

The charge for all water accessed from these standpipes is $6.00 per kilolitre with a minimum charge of $10.00 per load.

All water standpipe requests out side of normal Council working hours will incur a call out fee based on the equivalent wages incurred by Council for a call out.

Sales in excess of 1,000 kilolitres are subject to written application and approval by Council's Director Engineering Services.

 

 

 

Non-potable Water Standpipes

Raw bore water is available to purchase at the Miles standpipe only.

Non-potable (not for drinking) water can be used for commercial purposes and is charged at a rate of $5.00 per kilolitre with a minimum charge of $10.00 per load.

All water standpipe requests out side of normal Council working hours will incur a call out fee based on the equivalent wages incurred by Council for a call out.

Sales in excess of 1,000 kilolitres are subject to written application and approval by Council's Director Engineering Services.

 

 

 

Other Regional Standpipes

All water standpipe requests (potable and non-potable) for other centres across the region are subject to written application and approval by the Director Engineering Services.

If approval is given water will be charged at $6.00 per kilolitre with a minimum charge of $10.00 per load.
