Promote your community group through Council’s free online directory

16 February 2017

From hobbies and health, to education and environment, not-for-profit organisations across the Western Downs can now add their details to Council’s free online directory, ‘My Community Directory’, to help residents and visitors find them.

  • Council has partnered with ‘My Community Directory’ to provide a comprehensive list of services and community groups in the Western Downs area;
  • It’s free to register and community organisations can control their information by logging in and updating their details as they change;
  • Groups can also link to their website and social media platforms as well as include contact information, location, and detailed descriptions of their organisation.

Western Downs Regional Council Spokesperson for Community and Cultural Development Councillor Kaye Maguire encourages our not-for-profit organisations to take advantage of this valuable online database.

“With a diverse range of community groups and organisations across the Western Downs, the new online directory is helping to give them every opportunity to connect with our community,” she said.

“My Community Directory is a great online database that will help our community find important information about the types of community organisations available to them.

“It’s also a great way for our community groups to receive important information about upcoming initiatives, funding opportunities and workshops from Council.

“I strongly encourage all our not-for-profit organisations from hobby groups and charities to health and education services, to jump on our website and add their details to Council’s free ‘My Community Directory’.”
