My Community Directory HomeLiving HereOur CommunityMy Community Directory Council has implemented a great new online community directory, known as ‘My Community Directory’, which is a free database for our community sector to utilise. Council values the role our community organisations play within the Western Downs region and encourages you to be involved and take the opportunity to be included on this free online platform. By including your organisation’s details, Council and the general public will have one single comprehensive database available for the community to access. There are three different levels of access to information stored in the My Community Directory database: The public can view basic contact details and a description of services of listed organisations. Organisation members have access to, in addition to the basic information provided to the public, information such as who is managing services within other organisations in their sector. My Community Directory Local Government and State Government department members have access to additional information such as status of the organisation in relation to GST registration, status as a registered charity, and details on governance positions. You decide how much information, including personal information, will be available online for the different access levels. If you do not wish certain information to be available online for any particular level of access, then you can remove that information from the database. Please note that it will become your organisation’s responsibility to ensure all information is updated as required. Learn More About Our Community Directory To learn more about this exciting opportunity, we invite you to explore the ‘My Community Directory’ platform. This will help you understand how it looks and works. It is also important that you review the My Community Directory Terms and Conditions when reviewing the information about your listing. Download the guideline on how to add your community group details… If your organisation does not wish to be a part of My Community Directory, and therefore not be included in Council’s primary contact database for the community sector, you can login and delete your listing from My Community Directory. However, we do encourage you to join this online community directory to allow better sharing of information between Council, community organisations and our local communities.
