Chinchilla Community Benefits Trust

CS Energy and Western Downs Regional Council – Working for Chinchilla and surrounding communities

The Chinchilla Community Benefits Trust was established in 2004 to provide community support during the construction of the CS Energy Kogan Creek Power Station and beyond.

Project applications from not-for-profit community groups must be related to one or more of our four key focus areas:

  • Improving community infrastructure (facilities and services);
  • Skills, education, training and youth development;
  • Safety health and wellbeing; and
  • Environment and sustainability.

Over the past 12 years, the Chinchilla Community Benefits Trust, which is proudly funded by CS Energy, has provided almost $1 million for projects that enhance the economic, cultural and social development of the Chinchilla area.

Applications for the 2017 round of funding under the Trust open Monday 6 March 2017 and close on Friday 21 April 2017.

Please refer to the Chinchilla Community Benefits Trust Application Guidelines for eligibility, assessment criteria and other requirements.
