Regional Flood Recovery Works HomeLiving HereEngineering ServicesRegional Flood Recovery Works December 2014/January 2015 Update Road restoration work continues across the Western Downs to repair damage to regional and rural road infrastructure caused by the 2013 flood events. The multi-phased Regional Flood Recovery Works program is entering into its final stages, with works associated with repairing damage from the 2010/11 floods and 2012 adverse weather events, including the delivery of several betterment funded projects, completed on target and on budget in June 2014. Council continues to rollout restoration works on the roads listed in the Indicative Schedule, as part of the next stage of the program to repair damage caused by the 2013 flood events, with a target completion date of April 2015. The program is being funded through Council, and the Queensland and Commonwealth Governments under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA). Where? Streets expected to be restored between now and April 2015 are: Dalby Regional Area, 243; Dalby Urban Area, 7; Chinchilla Regional Area, 96; Tara Regional Area, 10; Miles Regional Area, 25; Wandoan Regional Area, 46.
