The Western Downs is famous for unique events, and a new fleet of Council vehicles is proudly showcasing these events through bright designs as they traverse the region.

Celebrating what makes our region such a great place to live and visit, the vehicles promote Dalby Delicious and DeLIGHTful, Opera at Jimbour, Chinchilla Melon Festival, Jandowae Timbertown Festival, Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races and the newly renamed Miles Back to the Bush Festival.

Western Downs Regional Council Spokesperson for Economic Development Councillor Donna Ashurst said the cars were the ideal moving advertisement for the festivals and events that made our region special.

“Council loves supporting our home-grown local events, and our custom designed vehicles are a great way for our staff to showcase these events while out on the road,” she said.

“We always receive feedback from the community and visitors about our unique events, and we are thrilled to be further promoting them.”

Miles Back to the Bush Festival President Rachel Kerwick said Council’s extra promotion helped show off an event that had evolved over the years into a celebration of the relaxed atmosphere, rich community and historical significance of the region.

“The new designs on the Council vehicles look great, it’s nice to see these events proudly promoted across our region,” she said.

“The Back to the Bush Festival is a chance for people to come out to Miles for a bush living experience and enjoy some bush hospitality, unwind and just have a really great experience.”
